Prof. O. Nuri Özgirgin is a leading expert in otology, neurotology, and rhinology, with a distinguished career in otolaryngology spanning over four decades. He currently practices at Bayındır Hospital Söğütözü in Ankara, Turkey.
Prof. Özgirgin has held prominent academic and clinical positions, including professorships at Gazi University and Başkent University. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to otologic and neurotologic surgery, functional endoscopic sinus surgery, and vestibular medicine.
He serves as President of the International Vertigo Society and holds executive roles in several global organizations, including the International Federation of Otolaryngological Societies (IFOS) and the European Academy of Otology and Neurotology (EAONO). He is also Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of International Advanced Otology.
Prof. Özgirgin has chaired numerous international scientific meetings and has delivered over 340 presentations at global congresses. His scientific output includes 47 published articles and book chapters.
Among his honors are the Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia, awarded by the President of Italy, and the Ingeborg and Erwin Hochmair Award for Services to the Deaf. He is an honorary or corresponding member of several prestigious otolaryngology societies worldwide.
