Professor Pierre David Attal, MD, PhD, is the Director of the Pediatric ENT Unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem and is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He completed his medical and specialist training in Paris, followed by a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Bicêtre University Hospital and a PhD at Paris-Saclay University.
His main clinical and research interests include pediatric airway disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, laryngotracheal surgery, pediatric otology, cholesteatoma, tracheostomy, and congenital head and neck disorders. He has been particularly involved in recent clinical research and publications on pediatric acute mastoiditis, including its complications, evolving epidemiology, microbiology, and the indications for imaging. He serves on the scientific boards of the European Annals of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Diseases and the Annales Françaises d’Oto-Rhino-Laryngologie.
