Professor Ronen Perez MD

Professor Ronen Perez MD, Director of the Otology Unit and Cochlear Implant Center, Shaare-Zedek Medical Center and Associate Professor at the Hebrew-University of Jerusalem Medical School. Currently serves as the President of the Israeli Society of Otoneurology and President Elect/Vice President of the Mediteranean Society of Otology and Audiology.

Received his MD degree from the Hebrew-University Medical School in Jerusalem (1995). Completed his Otolaryngology residency at Shaare-Zedek Medical Center (2001) and a fellowship in Neurotology-Skull Base Surgery at the University of Toronto (2004). In addition to his clinical and surgical work as an Otologist he conducts basic and clinical research relating to cochlear implantation, inner-ear physiology, ototoxicity, and tinnitus. He is a member of international professional societies including the Collegium Oto-Rhino-Laryngologicu Amicitiae Sacrum (CORLAS) and fellow – American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
